Founder and CEO
Ramanan Bathala is the CEO and Founder of Agati. He has 26 years of industry experience in HealthCare and Clinical Research. Prior to establishing Agati, Ramanan co-founded two entities from ground zero – one in New Jersey, USA and another in Chennai, India. His technical skills & vivid understanding of clinical research domain aids him in driving his passion of creating products and solutions which can simplify and accelerate the drug report submissions to agencies. His proven track record includes establishing business processes, competency development and building high performance teams.
Sathiya Vivegan
Senior Director, Business Development
Sathiya Vivegan is our Director in Business Development and he brings to us more than 15 years of health care and IT industry experience. His successful leadership in sales division has fetched us many clients thereby widening the scope of our business development and marketing. Sathiya has a proven track record in new business development and in building long-term strategic partnerships globally, across the pharmaceutical, medical device and biologics sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications.
Richard Busby
Vice President, Functional Services
As a clinical research veteran, Richard Busby has over 30 years of experience in both Clinical Operations as well as Business Development assembling and delivering functional solutions for clients. With a proven track record of listening to and working closely with his clients as they share their needs and goals, Richard draws from his practical experience to forge strategic creative and flexible solutions – and remains engaged as clients needs adapt. He has deep experience in working to craft a variety of models to meet client’s needs – from a broad range of functional service models, domestic as well as global, to customized preferred providers of targeted services, to full turn-key CRO solutions. Now leading Agati Clinical Business Development, Richard is focused on working collaboratively and creatively across Agati Clinical and Sponsor teams to develop and deliver custom-curated solutions with an eye on customer satisfaction above all else.

Director, Software Engineering
U.P. Prem Kumar is our Director of Software Engineering in our System Development Division, with over three decades of experience in IT industry. He has exceptional expertise in various sectors, such as Healthcare, Retail, eCommerce, Manufacturing, and Digital Transformation. He has contributed significantly to the success of the brands he worked with by leveraging technology and creating unique products in Pharma, eCommerce, Retail, and mobile solutions. Prem excels in operational, strategic leadership skills and he is also highly proficient in planning, people management & process re-engineering.
Malini Lakshman
Chief Human Resources Officer
She heads the HR function & is responsible for aligning the people strategy with business goals. She has 20+ years of experience in handling HR in various roles in the IT, CRO & Life Sciences Industry. With a successful track record of working as a HR catalyst for national & multi-national organizations in their transformational journey, she has had an impactful stint through her people initiatives & governance mechanisms focused on aligning human capital strategy with the business strategy. She has designed & led high-impact engagement initiatives for organizations which has had far-reaching positive impacts on employee morale & engagement. Her earlier engagements have been with Syngene International Ltd., IQVIA & HealthAsyst Pvt Ltd. She holds a PG Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations.
Saranya Jeganathan
Associate Director, Statistical Programming
Saranya Jeganathan is working with us, as an Associate Director for Statistical Programming who has 14 years of systematic growth experience in Life Science and Healthcare domains with strong understanding of CDISC standards and Clinical Data Analysis. She is shouldering the management responsibilities of Data standardization and Data Analysis activities. She is playing a pivotal role in team building activities to groom and shape the young talents. She is highly experienced in project planning and execution to provide consistently high-quality deliverables to the clients. she is also providing support to develop the automation products for Data standardization and analytic services. She holds Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering

Mehul Kamal Burman
Associate Director, Statistical Programming
Mehul Burman is an Associate Director for Statistical Programming Group heading Non-FSP accounts in Agati Clinical. He holds Master’s degree in Information Technology and carries more than 14 years of experience in Clinical and Life Science Health Care Industry. His experience towards CDISC with End-to-End tasks including ISS/ISE submissions are remarkable and leverage the group with quality submissions. He has been into various people management positions and led huge Programming group including Client Audits, Billing, and Invoices. He also worked for IT and CRO companies including Cognizant, Accenture, IQVIA and Cytel.
Palka Kishore
Senior Manager, Quality Assurance
Palka Kishore is working with us, as the Manager for Quality Assurance and she brings to us more than 10 years of versatile experience in handling Quality and Document Management Systems pertaining to Clinical Research, Food, & Pharma Industry. Throughout her career journey, she is known for being instrumental in developing standard processes that are tailored to the individual organizations per industry standards to drive quality initiatives. She is experienced in setting up quality management systems & driving QMS implementations, training management, & document management processes into electronic software solutions She holds an M.Sc. from Bangalore University, and she is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
Vijay Arjundas
Director, Programming and Biostatistics
Vijay Arjundas is our Director for Programming and Biostatistics, brings over 23 years of extensive experience in the Life Sciences and Clinical domain. With a background spanning Data Management, DBD, and Clinical & Statistical programming, Vijay possesses expertise in various areas such as Business Operations, Transition, Change Management, Project Management, Budgeting & Forecasting, People & Performance Management, Client/Stakeholder Management, and Coordination with cross-functional teams. He has a proven track record of developing and delivering customer-centric solutions across the EU and US regions. Vijay holds a degree in Commerce from Mysore University and has completed his GCD (Global Certificate in Data Science) from Accredian (formerly known as INSAID).
